EMV-25VBB CNC Conversion kit – Hardware

Making some really good progress on the CNC conversion kits. The preliminary designs were shown to the public at the Bristol Society of Model and Experimental Engineers exhibition with significant interest.
As we keep saying, it is really important that the castings are not modified. To this end a specially made X-Axis ballnut has been designed that, along with the nut holder makes for a very good fit.
All three screws are ground and internally preloaded C5 ballscrews to ensure backlash is eliminated!
The photos in this post show some of the more critical parts with stepper motors added just for show.
Handles are retained so that you can use the machine manually for quick jobs.
Ultimately we would love to be able to offer this machine with Clearpath servo motors however the cost of the motors would potentially equal the cost of the machine so unless we are able to get pre-orders in we will limit ourselves to the mechanical hardware.
For now, an indicative price for the kit which will include:
-X, Y and Z axis ground and preloaded Ballscrews,
-3x Motor mounts
-3x Precision ballscrew bearing sets (fixed and floating)
-3x HTD pulley sets with key ways and grub screws
-Steel ballnut mounting hardware
-2 Gas struts
-Aluminium adaptor plates
– Handwheels

The kit should in theory be compatible with similar machines (Amadeal, Warco, Optimum, Titan) with tables of 700x170mm

So far, we have our first kits in the hands of 4 people in the UK and one in Sweden.

Next set of hardware will consist of screws that come with accuracy certs and machined components made by us in the UK!

• The kit does not include motors – please see separate listing for these!
• Warranty is limited to the parts we supply, we cannot be held responsible if it does not fit machines other than EMV-25VBB that may require mods to castings
