The Fast-Heating Print Bed

With higher heat dimensions reaching 100°C, adhesion to the print bed is improved for a variety of high-quality materials.

3D Printing most engineering materials at large scale, can produce uncomfortable odours. Especially ASA or ABS as we all know can make printing prohibitive. So the BigRep Studio G2 is now ready to be connected to a local air filtration unit or your main ventilation system.


Our view

When scaling up your 3D prints, the issue of warping and the particularity of the polymers becomes more pronounced. This is where most large scale machines fall over. As the industry moves toward the goals of “Faster, Bigger, Hotter”, the need for precise temperature control, full enclosure and ventilation become critical.

The BigRep Studio G2 is right there! Discounting the high temperature materials such as PEEK and Ultem that require enclosure reaching industrial oven temperatures, the Studio G2 should give the users one of the widest ranges of material printing capability on the market today, at the size of 1/4 m3.

The fully enclosed design is very good from a printing reliability point of view but also a safety feature. The printer will pause when the door is opened allowing you to safely inspect the print or try and salvage a warped first layer.
