Not 1, but 2 new LARGE Printers by BigRep!

Our esteemed partners, BigRep GmbH, have done it again! This time they are not introducing 1 new large printer, but 2, and they are HOT!

To date, we have been able to use tough materials such as Polyamide or other engineering materials with carbon fibres in our BigRep machines. Now with the introduction of the ALTRA 280 and the IPSO 105, we can finally also print materials that require high nozzle temperatures and heated enclosures.

PEKK, PEEK, ULTEM® 9085 and PolyCarbonate here we go.

Lets us explain what these machine are like.

With servos, ballscrews and up to 4 extruders, the ALTRA 280 is a really powerful machine. But that is not all! The ALTRA 280 is also fitted with a 180oC capable enclosure and maximum hotend temperatures of 450°C. Add a 180°C heated print bed with vacuum and all those high temperature materials are now available for printing in large format!

The automation built into the ALTRA 280 ensures that commissioning as well as printing is a breeze. Yes, it has mesh bed levelling and an in-built camera. The broad array of integrated sensors makes this a reliable and secure 24/7 3D printer for sure.

With the ALTRA 280, you can print components up to 500 x 700 x 800mm (x,y,z) with minimal fuss.

As with all BigRep printers, the users are not bound to only using BigRep materials, so you can feel free to experiment.

Is it fast? OH YES! Printing speeds of up to 350mm/s are possible with travel speeds reaching 400mm/s. This translates to approximately 250grams per hour depending on material and nozzle size

Other great features include air filtration with activated carbon and HEPA, water cooled hotends, a selection of nozzle sizes and materials.

As standard the ALTRA 280 is fitted with 2 extruders, but this can be extended to 4. With these, not only can you do multiple mateirals, but you can also ensure uninterupted printing.

The entry into large format high temperature materials need not break the bank. IPSO 105 offer high performance at a truly unbeatable price. Like the ALTRA 280, the IPSO 105 is fitted with a 100oC capable enclosure and maximum hotend temperatures of 450°C. Add a 180°C heated print bed with a quality PEI coated flexplate or glass plate and that first layer is perfect!

BigRep's automation ensures that commissioning as well as printing never a chore. IPSO 105 also has mesh bed levelling and an in-built camera..

Build volume of the IPSO is 400 x 600 x 400mm (x,y,z), giving you significant freedom to make large parts.
